Baby Steps: A timeline

Hi friends,

Today marks the launch of my very official and professional website! Here, you'll be able to purchase prints of my work, hang them up, and day dream about all of the beautiful things in your life.

This is a goal that I've been working towards for years now, and something I'm incredibly proud of! While I'm sure there will be hiccups, you can't be successful without first failing a handful of times. If I mess something up, let me know and I'll do my best to make it right. Contact me here: artist@liannabonacorsi.com

Here's my little "get to know the artist" timeline, since so much of my art holds beautiful memories of travel, family, and food. My hope is that you can use these prints & other fun goodies to adorn your home and make it a place of beauty and peace and joy!!!

Thank you for every drop of support you've sent my way; I really truly feel so appreciative that my art has made the cut to be hung in your sanctuary!!

Baby Steps: A Timeline

2009: My parents make the move from suburbia to rural farmland; beginning a family-run fruit and vegetable farm, with U-PICK apples, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, and so much more. Growing up on the farm, I had the unique opportunity to learn both agriculture and sales; working alongside my family to sell our produce to the surrounding community.

2014: Art becomes a serious passion, and I begin taking classes and joining groups that could help foster my love of art making. Instructors from the county parks system, teachers from my k-8 & high school education, 4-H adult volunteers, the local watercolor society, and a few special artist neighbors all began to shape and influence my art making practices.

2019: I began attending The College of New Jersey, studying Graphic Design and Marketing, unsure of what my career would look like upon graduation.

2021: My first printmaking course- that would begin to launch my small scale print making business, selling screen & relief printed tote bags, tank tops, and other merchandise at local art markets. (While I still screen print for the family farm's merchandise, I've let print making take the back seat in my life upon graduating and losing access to the beautiful studio at TCNJ.)

2022: A friend reaches out to see if I'd be interested in attending the county fair as the face painting vendor. I begin to learn how to face paint, become insured, and after a successful county fair, spend weekends painting at a local pumpkin farm and working birthday parties.

2023: Graduating college, moving to Philadelphia for an internship with a party goods company- joining the "mock-up" team where I learned how to create sample party goods (paper plates, cups, banners, cupcake displays- you name it) for the company to bring to trade shows and meetings before the product was sent to production.

2024: Moved to Chicago! My partner and I were tired of doing 5 years of long distance, and he received a job offer in Chicago, so I followed. We've adopted two cats, and loved every minute of living together! I never anticipated living in a city, and it was definitely tough to begin to re-establish my business as a face painter, but as with all things, patience and perseverance pay off! We've began to find community, our favorite places, and a rhythm to living in the city.

2025: Halfway through the year, I launched a surprise subscription service; selling original 5x7 pieces via my first portfolio website (www.bonacorsi.art - which still houses my 2019-2024 portfolio, and face painting business). The goal behind this was to take a dip into the world of art selling online, without too much production cost. It was exactly the stepping stone I needed, in order to land where I have today.

Now, entering the Fall, I'm launching my first official website for the purpose of selling beautiful art prints for your home.

I'm glad you found yourself here! Check out my gallery, and follow along on instagram to see my latest projects.

Artfully yours,

Lianna
